Gold Pendants That Carry a Message, Not Just a Shine

Most pendant conversations at our counter begin the same way. A customer opens a photo on their phone and asks two things. Can this be made in gold, and how much will it weigh. That one question sums up pendant buying in Pakistan. The design is personal, the weight decides the price, and a good jeweller should be able to answer both on the spot. This page walks you through what we make, what it weighs and what it will roughly cost.

Match the Pendant to the Chain, a Simple Weight Rule

Half the pendants that come to us for repair broke because they were hung on the wrong chain. The rule our craftsmen follow is simple. Keep the chain equal to or slightly heavier than the pendant. A pendant under two grams sits safely on a fine rope or box chain of about the same weight. A pendant between two and four grams needs a medium link chain so the clasp does not strain. Anything above four grams, including large lockets, belongs on a thick chain of at least equal weight or it will spin, sag and eventually snap the bail.

How Gold Pendant Prices Work in Pakistan

Pendant pricing has three parts. The gold rate per tola on the day you buy, the exact weight of the piece in grams, and the making charges for the craftsmanship. Stones are billed separately and shown separately. At HSJ the pendant is weighed in front of you and every figure appears on the receipt, so you always know what the gold alone is worth if you ever choose to exchange it.

By the daily gold rate, pendant weight, making charges, and any gemstones used.

Yes, we create custom name pendants in both English and Urdu.

A chain that is equal to or slightly heavier than the pendant is recommended.
